  15.     Is your friend still using the original COMM.DRV that comes with 
  16. Windows 3.1?  Microsoft has a replacement for that 'cos the original one 
  17. doesn't work well with high-speed modems (14.4 or above).  Another question for 
  18. your friend is if (s)he has the 16550 UART chip on the I/O board.  Without 
  19. that, Windows 3.1 can "only" handle throughput up to 19200 bps reliability.
